bahamas sailing sabbatical
Our time in the Bahamas has wound down and our journey home is beginning. We will soon embark on a 3 day and two night ocean voyage, hopefully making it all the way to Beaufort, North Carolina.
On the surface Treasure Cay may seem as though it doesn't have much to offer. Since December it has come to mean many things to us. It became community, a safe haven from the storms and much more!
Green Turtle Cay is a lovely blend of modern and historic on a sprawling island with plenty to discover. Many hidden gems, beaches, and restaurants can be found if you are ready to explore!
motorcycle adventures
It’s hard to capture the enthusiasm and excitement I had arriving Wednesday for my first race track training day, another bucket list item checked.
From Gorham the road seemed to consistently climb upwards. Fog and clouds hugged the mountains along pine tree and birch lined roads. So many spectacular views to difficult to capture.
The morning was beautiful at Casa Breeze Inn bed and breakfast and our hosts had a great breakfast waiting for us. Sharing stories with guests inspired our morning adventures on the next leg of our journey.
Today we will finally enjoy the scenic route, experiencing river views, sweeping back roads and a glimpse of New Brunswick culture.
Rally Racing in Newfoundland
SHOCKING WRAP UP TO TARGA! We had a wonderful week but certainly didn't expect the week to wrap up the way it did. Awards? What!!!
Another beautiful sunrise with a day of excitement ahead. Of course there is always time for some goofy shots before heading off to help ensure the last day of racing runs smoothly.
Morning dawned with a gorgeous sunrise and plenty to be thankful for. Competitors have left because of hurricane damage or to care for family. It is hard to feel sad when others have far graver worries.
The race is over for us and one of our other teammates but not for four other Hume Media teams. So are doing all we can to support them and the rest of the competitors at Targa Newfoundland.
The morning was perfect for our next leg to Beaufort, one of our favorite places to visit. Along our trip we have met many interesting people. You never know who you are going to run into so be kind.
