We left Waterford for the final lock before the Hudson River. A fleet of sailboats joined us, 6 in total, 3 from Quebec. Out of the locks we drifted far from them, taking in the sights on the Hudson River.

We departed Amsterdam along with a travelling museum exhibit, the refurbished Lois McClure. An exact replica of the wooden freight ships used after the New York canal expansion in 1862.

We said goodbye to Phoenix and our generous hosts and completed our journey through the Oswego canals, merging into the eastern end of the Erie canals.
